Celebrity 2009 Year in Review

2009 was a year of many first - too many events to count, celebrity news, and untimely deaths. As my blog has unfolded I've done less celebrity news and more writing about me. I decided to take a quick year in review on just a few of this years celebrity happenings.

Lets take a look back

Falls from grace:

Chris Brown - beating up Rihanna and then complaining on Twitter that his album wouldn't sell.

Tiger Woods - cheating with high priced prostitutes and tacky blonde barmaids

Joe Wilson - who became instant idiot overnight shouting "You Lie" in a public forum at President Obama

Plaxico Burress - receiving prison time for shooting yourself in a public nightclub. Plaxico Burress translates to "idiot" in swahili you know.

Kanye West - who stole Taylor's Swift's moment of glory then promptly went AWOL. At least for a moment.

Twitter - A social watering hole that allows "celebs" to amass a following and believe they are much more important than they really are while giving us "I'm drinking the coldest water ever" and "Jesus is my homeboy" updates 24/7. Twitter creator is the definition of come UP!!!

Susan Boyle - 48 year old Scottish chick who has never been kissed. She stuck to the "young newbie idols" to the tune of 3 million units (and counting)

Sonia Sotomayor - First Latina Supreme Court Justice who makes more waves in 4 months than Clarence Thomas has done in 18 years.

The Kardashians - I have a blog ban on these no talent chickenheads but you can't deny they were EVERYWHERE in 2009

Whitney Houston - the voice is still a bit raggedy but at least she is trying and produced a sellable album and at least she doesn't look like this - anymore.

Tiger Woods "Jump offs" - They are already counting the loot they will be making in expose interviews, playboy photo shoots, and reality shows to come.

Tiger, Tiger, Tiger, What can I say? NOT A DARN THING. It's none of MY business and none of your's. Tiger don't pay my bills and I don't golf so why do I care about Tiger sleeping with some little chickenhead waitress. If Steve McNair didn't teach you about sleeping with broke waitress I can't help you. Nuff said.

Ron Artest - dude. You trippin. You coulda said you were a head case without telling ALLLLL THE BUSINESS! Dang dude!

Obama? Why you gotta go give them a date we gonna pull out. I see gold diggers hang around a raggedy rich dude for 18 months. You think terrorists don't have 18 months to wait it out. Jeeeezzzz. Keep some secrets to yo' self...PLEASE

Who in the HELL want Allen Iverson on their team? 76ers musta forgot all that ruckus he was making. They'll remember in a minute when he starting shooting everything he touch again and laying out in the floor having a temper tantrums. I'm just shaking my head. Allen needs to follow Latrell Sprewell into the land of disappear. He's quite raggedy now but Philly will learn soon enough.

Wacky Weekend

Not sure what was in the water this weekend but my people where all passing the red cup too much!

First Michael Jordan just makes some "absurd" remarks during his Hall of Fame induction speech to remind us that he is...Michael Jordan. I think the one that bugged me the most was him turning to his children and saying "I wouldn't want to be you guys"...In my opinion it was petty, unmoving, unfocused and uninspired. He spent much of the time "disparaging people who had little to do with his career, like Jeff Van Gundy and Bryon Russell. He also ignored people who had so much to do with it, like his personal trainer, Tim Grover.

"This had been a moving and inspirational night for the NBA – one of its best ceremonies ever – and five minutes into Jordan’s speech it began to spiral into something else. Something unworthy of Jordan’s stature, something beneath him."

Michael wasn't alone in the hissy fit weekend. Serena proceeded to act a STRAIGHT FOOL when a line judge pissed her off as well. Whether she was right or wrong to be upset, I'm sure she is embarrassed today for her behavior and if not well...hmmmm. My kids missed it. I'm glad. She is a little lighter in the pocket with a $10K fine. We always support Serena but we must always remember the kids are watching.



Let's continue down our path of outbursts to the worst of all. Mr. "the world is mine and I'm a talented butthole" Kanye West.



JUST CLASSLESS!!! In the words of someone else "it takes a village to raise a child.
Apparently, Kanye's village has failed him. He obviously doesn't have a real friend in the world." Looking back, Taylor looked humiliated. I felt humiliated for her. I didn't expect Taylor to win that award, and I'm not upset about Kanye's opinion. However, bum-rushing the stage wasn't the appropriate time and place to express his disagreement. Not only was Kanye's approach disrespectful, it was directed towards a teenage girl, actually. I can only imagine how her family feels. I'm sure he would like to have a talk to Kanye. I'm not related to her, and I'd like to have a talk with him. Furthermore, aside from the fact that Taylor Swift is a top-selling artist, who has revolutionized teen country pop, she did not have any competition in this category as her competitors Beyonce, Lady GaGa, Pink, and Kelly Clarkson split the pop vote. Taylor had to get 100 percent of the country vote, plus some of the pop vote as well. It's simple math that even a "College Dropout" should be able to figure out.

However, Miss BEY saves the day!!! Don't you love her!!!! I truly do. GO BEY! For some reason when I watch it I get tears in my eyes right down to the fact that Beyonce never said another word even while hugging her. Beyonce's eyes said it all.

RIP Steve

I feel as if there is something I should say about Steve McNair.I'm not quite sure what the correct words are. I've been thinking of it so much these last few days but I don't really know what to say. I feel so badly for his wife and their children. I'm sure most of what they are hearing right now is so painful. I can only hope that their family is sheltering them from much of this media attention.

As far as Steve, I've heard many different things and I can only hope that he somehow was able to make peace before his death but I just don't see how it was possible. I pray that his accomplishments in life will trump his bad decisions the last few months of his life. I can sit at a computer and say a million things but Mathew 7:1 said it best. "Judge not lest ye be judged". We've all done things that may "haunt" us, that we regret, or would hate for our families to know about after our deaths. John 8:7 "Let he who is without sin cast the first stone". If have avoided sin, well then good for you. What a saint you are. I guess that is why the Lord allows us to repent.

I believe for some of us, it is indeed a wake up call about how we would like to be remembered in life. To make better decisions, choose better people, love our families immensely for we never know when our time will come...... but most of all to WATCH and PRAY. God is seriously trying to get our attention in a major way. Not that so many celebrity deaths should be a wake up call because there is death each day, but the fact that those that have everything can loose it in an instance is what is a reality check for many. My minor problems in life are nothing compared to what others may be going through.

I've finally decided to post on this after a few weeks have past.

So apparently this dude...my previous little "pedo" crush... Chris Brown lost his natural mind, got out of pocket, and beat the “Disturbia” out of Rhianna.I can’t say I'm surprised by ANYTHING these celebrities do after watching that whole Brittani breakdown drama not to mention 500 cars following Paris Hilton to jail, but I’m on my Joey Lawrence “Whoa!” shit right now.. talk about a PR nightmare, black people ain’t been this pissed since the McRib got discontinued, since the public backlash of Eric Benet passing up on coming home to Halle Berry every night in order to satisfy his insatiable thirst for punanny... Was it worth it? I think not! I actually smirked a little when I heard a C. Brown song on the radio this morning.

Seriously though, it’s never cool to play pastor and lay hands on a woman.. well, unless she loses her natural mind and hits you first.. then you do to things. First -Run, cause if the police get there first, you going to jail even if she hit your first and then Second - return the favor by hiring Sheniqua around the way to "tap that azz" and run.. what she gon’ tell the cops? Okay Okay, I"m being serious. Now you know why I don't let me kids read my blog. On the real, I wish Rhianna the best of luck... For Chris, he's young and has a VERY LONG road of loneliness ahead...ask Kriss Kross, Another Bad Creation and Tevin Campbell and they didn't even hit anybody!

News, Blues and Screws

I had a hard time trying to figure out today's blog. I had to decided between the many different subjects going through my mind right now. I was up early listening to the idiots of Citigroup actually try and talk their way out of shopping for a $50 dollar airplane, meanwhile my home value has completely crashed and burned. Skip forward to the exciting talk of that poor woman in Southern California who just gave birth to a puppy litter (oh don't be so sensitive). Damn 8 babies!?!?!? I have one 3 year old that feels like 8 babies. One piece of advice I'd love to offer her is to uummm Run Away Now! When all the newness of those cute little babies wears off and all the help goes away....OH I NEED TO STOP. God Bless her little heart.
So I've decided I'll go ahead and tell you all about how I got away from the MAN! Now that it's the end of January, I've finally figured out all the speed traps near the school. Some other unlucky parents have not so while I was was going 15 mph because I had the feeling "Roscoe" was near, the Benz, BMW and Town and Country peeled out of the school and into the residential area going about 40. Now that I've finally replaced my glasses I could see him hiding in the corner as they rounded the corner. I didn't let out my relief just yet, not until he waved each of them to the curb to line up for their tickets. As I drove by I thought "awww, too bad for them, yeeeaahhh for me". Last thing I need right now is a ticket!
Today has been a little screwy. I'm avoiding work this morning but I guess I should get to it. Sorry I have nothing profound and prolific for you. No juicy gossip or "no she didn't" tales today. Just a day in life.
